In 2015, I decided to pull together a collection of my photos that chronicled my life in the 1970s and 80s, when I was fortunate enough to travel around the country alone and with friends. The photos are full of honesty and tell the story of my life as a young man, and the lives of my friends, in real time. The period spans a time of enormous change: from the end of the Vietnam War, when liberal ideas persevered, to the 1980s when conservatism began to take power. The project includes road trips, weekend jaunts, summer jobs and adventures in the outdoors. “Bear at the Water Fountain” tells a story of my wanderings with friends and a camera. I am grateful to my friends (I can’t possibly name everyone) who tolerated the intrusion of my camera and allowed me to tell our story in pictures.

This is a 126 page, 7" x 7" paperback of captioned color and black and white photos. Search "Bear at the Water Fountain" at blurb.com or go to http://bit.ly/3T5Adc6 to view the book. Book price=printing price, no profit.
